#esplorailMuseo is the program of art appointments conceived by the Education Department of the Civic Museum, curated by Martina Scribani, under the supervision of Stefania Cordone. It starts on 10 February with the first of a calendar of events organized by the Museum to accompany the little ones to discover the works of the permanent collection of ancient, modern and contemporary art. At a time when museums are still closed to the public, the Civic Museum has created a series of remote activities dedicated to children. #explorailMuseo consists of an in-depth kit and two coloring drawings: the portrait of the artist and the drawing of the work. A way to entertain the little ones by involving them and encouraging creativity through knowledge of the collections housed in the Civic Museum. Entering the Museum at a distance is the goal of the project that will invite children to send their drawings, participating in a contest for the assignment of various prizes: among them a visit to discover the history and heritage of the Museum accompanied by a guide, even with your family. The first artist to open the educational program is Ignazio Moncada with the work La Maga Circe from 2002, donated to the museum's collection in 2018 on the initiative of Ruggero Moncada, son of the artist. Moncada's work was chosen because the interweaving of shapes and colors of the Sicilian artist's canvas allows children to interpret the myth of the sorceress linked to Ulysses in their own way, using bright colors and freely experimenting with new color combinations. Il Gruppo Grimaldi potenzia i propri collegamenti per il trasporto merci e passeggeri tra il Centro Italia e la Sicilia grazie all’introduzione di tonnellaggio aggiuntivo. La Compagnia impiegherà un’ulteriore nave ro/pax tra i porti di Livorno e Palermo che permetterà di raddoppiare la frequenza delle partenze, garantendo così un servizio giornaliero.
La nave aggiuntiva impiegata sulla rotta sarà la ro/pax Cruise Smeralda, che può trasportare 2.000 metri lineari di merci rotabili (furgoni, camion, trailer, mezzi speciali), circa 1.500 passeggeri e 100 auto al seguito. L’unità si affiancherà alla ro/pax Zeus Palace, attualmente impiegata sulla linea, la cui capacità di carico è di 2.000 metri lineari, circa 1.700 passeggeri e 100 auto al seguito.
Entrambi i traghetti sono dotati di accoglienti cabine interne ed esterne, cabine superior, cabine pet e cabine per PMR, tutte con aria condizionata e servizi privati, nonché di una comoda sala poltrone. Per quanto riguarda gli altri servizi a bordo, su entrambe le navi sono disponibili un ristorante self service ed uno à la carte, varie caffetterie, piscina esterna con solarium, sala slot machine ed area giochi attrezzata per bambini.
L’arrivo della Cruise Smeralda consentirà al Gruppo Grimaldi di effettuare partenze giornaliere ambo le direzioni, venendo così incontro alle esigenze della clientela, sia passeggeri che merci, su una direttrice di trasporto primaria tra il porto di Livorno e quello di Palermo.
